Yemen missile attack

Yemen’s Ansarullah fighters have launched a missile on Saudi Arabia in retaliation for Riyadh’s military aggression. Yemeni media say a ballistic missile was fired at Saudi Arabia’s southern border region. The Yemenis say the Badr-One missile targeted a new military camp in Najran province. The Saudi military, however, says the rocket was intercepted by its air defenses without any casualties. The missile attacks are launched in response to deadly airstrikes carried out by a Saudi-led coalition against Yemen. The military campaign against Yemen has claimed the lives of nearly 15,000 people since March 2015.

A car bomb attack in the Iraqi province of Anbar has left nearly a dozen people dead. Local officials say the attacker drove an explosive-laden vehicle into a joint security checkpoint in the border town of Qa’im. Three civilians were among the dead. Authorities say the death toll could climb up due to the severity of injuries of the victims. The Daesh terror group has claimed responsibility for the bomb attack.

Israel West Bank raids

Israeli forces raid the occupied West Bank, arresting over two dozen Palestinians. The soldiers destroyed a number of Palestinian homes in Ramallah under the pretext of planned reconstruction. The raids triggered heavy clashes with the residents with some Palestinian youth resorting to IEDs to fend off attacks. It’s not clear yet why the Israeli troops launched the raids. In many cases, the crackdown targets villages or houses whose residents are accused of launching anti-Israel attacks. Those taking part in anti-Israeli demonstrations and their families are also subject to arrest and imprisonment.

Iran rejects talks with US

The Leader of Iran’s Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, has once again rejected negotiations with the United States at any level. He warned that Iran will scuttle the deal IF it fails to secure its interests. He criticized the European Union’s stance on the nuclear accord and stressed that the country cannot rely on the bloc on issues such as the JCPOA and the economy. Ayatollah Khamenei also warned that the EU actions will follow only by Iran’s appropriate measures and response. Elsewhere in his remarks, the Leader pointed to the parliament’s recent questioning of the Iranian president on economic challenges facing the country. Ayatollah Khamenei said the president’s placid and calm response is the manifestation of religious democracy.

Trump elections concerns

US President Donald Trump has warned of violence if Republicans lose control of Congress in the November midterm elections. At a private meeting with evangelical leaders at the White House, Trump said everything will be at stake for his conservative agenda if his party loses in November. He claimed Democrats will institute change quickly and violently, and will overturn everything he has done so far. He said Democrats will end everything immediately. Trump’s latest warning echoed his past statement when he once said his supporters would go on the rampage if things did not go his way. During the 2016 presidential campaign, Trump said his supporters would probably react violently if he did not win the Republican nomination.

Russia chemical warning

Russia has accused the West of trying to save the militants trapped in Syria’s northeastern province of Idlib. Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said the militant groups in Idlib are festering abscess that should be eliminated swiftly. Lavrov noted that the terrorists are using local civilians as human shields and warned the West against standing in the way of a massive anti-terror operation there. The top Russian diplomat also touched the reports of an imminent chemical attack in Idlib. He said the attack is designed to keep Nusra Front Terrorists in that province.
