Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has congratulated Muslim states on the birth anniversary of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), saying the Prophet's message was always one of unity and solidarity for all Muslims.
In a message addressed to the leaders and peoples of Islamic countries on the eve of the Prophet's birth anniversary on Saturday, Pezeshkian said Muslims around the world should rely on their shared faith and will to strengthen their unity and to elevate the position of Islam across the entire globe.
“I hope that by the grace and blessing of these auspicious days…we may be trustees who bring security, justice, and reconciliation to the vast world and especially to Islamic countries,” said Pezeshkian in the message.
He said the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) has always been the bearer of peace and security for all the peoples of the world, calling him the Prophet whose religion's name means peace and whose title is 'Mercy to the Worlds'.
The Iranian president said in the message that the Prophet Muhammad's life and conduct, known in Islamic textbooks as Sirah, should be the “highest model of perfection and the embodiment of the finest examples of morality and noble human virtues”.
"The great Prophet's Sirah has served as a radiant lamp illuminating and guiding humanity's turbulent path in this world,” he said.
