Israel violates Gaza truce
Although the Gaza ceasefire agreement has brought a respite to Israeli bombardment of Gaza, it has not fully stopped the regime’s military from launching attacks in the Palestinian territory. According to the Palestinian Health Ministry, Gaza hospitals have received two Palestinian bodies over the past 24 hours. One of the bodies belongs to a Palestinian child killed in Jabalia. Meanwhile, Israeli artillery fire targeted the vicinity of the Al-Tuffah neighborhood in Gaza City. Israeli military vehicles and tanks also carried out attacks in eastern Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip. The Palestinian Health Ministry has said that the number of people killed in Israeli strikes since the ceasefire took effect has increased to 416. And the death toll from the genocidal war since October 2023 has risen above 71,200.

US-Venezuela tensions
The Venezuelan president has vowed that his country’s forces will continue to protect Venezuela’s sovereignty amid heightened US military threats. Maduro also said that the ball is in the US court for any possible negotiation, stressing that Caracas remains open to trade with American companies. Since September last year, the Trump administration has conducted military strikes on Venezuelan vessels in the Caribbean and Eastern Pacific under the pretext of combating drug trafficking. Washington has also seized multiple Venezuelan-linked oil tankers in international waters. The measures have been denounced by many countries, with Maduro accusing the US of pursuing a regime-change agenda against his government.
