US-Israel genocide in Gaza
The Israeli regime is pressing ahead with its air and artillery strikes on Gaza more than a week after it renewed its aggression against the blockaded territory. Nearly two dozen people, including seven children, have been killed in pre-dawn attacks on several areas including Al-Zeitoun neighborhood in Gaza City and al-Mawasi refugee camp near Khan Younis. The Israeli bombings also killed two journalists on Monday. That brings the number of Palestinian journalists killed in Gaza since October 2023 to 208. The total death toll from the regime’s genocide is now at around 50,100.
US-Yemen aggression
The Yemeni military says it has carried out more anti-Israel and anti-US operations in retaliation for aggression against the Gaza Strip and the Arab country itself. Yahya Saree said the operation against the US carrier was carried out in response to the American aggression against Yemen. In one of the latest major attacks, American warplanes conducted two strikes targeting Al-Rasool Al-Azam Oncology Hospital in Sa’ada province. Yemen’s Cancer Control Fund strongly condemned the attack, and called on the UN, the World Health Organization, and the Red Cross to take urgent action to stop the systematic targeting of Yemen’s medical facilities.
US tariff war
Beijing has slammed the 25% tariffs the US has announced against buyers of Venezuelan oil that mainly affect China. China’s foreign ministry says Washington in interfering in Venezuela’s internal affairs. The tariffs were announced by US President Donald Trump. They target all imports into the US from direct and indirect buyers of Venezuelan oil. China purchases 500,000 barrels of oil a day from the South American country. The new tariffs are an addition to 10% duties, Trump has already slapped on imports from China in a tit-for-tat trade war. Venezuela has also condemned Trump’s tariffs, which become effective on April 2, as arbitrary and a new act of aggression.
