Genocide in Gaza

The Israeli regime is pressing ahead with its air and artillery strikes on Gaza more than a week after it renewed its aggression against the blockaded territory. In one of the latest attacks, at least three Palestinian were killed and several others injured in Beit Lahia, northern Gaza. To the south, an airstrike targeting a residential building in Khan Yunis left at least five civilians dead and ten others injured. Multiple fatalities were also reported following an air raid on a group of civilians in the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza. Also in the Nuseirat camp, an attack on a tent for displaced Palestinians killed at least five and injured over a dozen others. The Israeli bombings killed two journalists in separate strikes. That brings the number of Palestinian journalists killed in Gaza since October 2023 to 208. 730 Palestinians have been killed since Israel resumed its onslaught on Gaza last Tuesday, increasing the death toll from the regime’s genocide to more than 50,000. Over 113,400 others have been injured.

Yemen retaliatory operations

The Yemeni military says it has carried out more anti-Israel and anti-US operations in retaliation for aggression against the Gaza Strip and the Arab country. Army spokesman, Yahya Saree, said the Yemeni missile force targeted Israel’s Ben Gurion Airport in the occupied Yaffa region with two ballistic missiles, including Zulfiqar and hypersonic Palestine 2 types. He added that the attacks were in solidarity with the Palestinians in Gaza. Saree noted that Yemen’s armed forces also targeted the US aircraft carrier, Harry S. Truman, along with a number of its accompanying warships, in the Red Sea with several ballistic and cruise missiles, as well as drones. Saree said the attack on American warships was the second of its kind in the past 24 hours. He said the operation was carried out in response to the American aggression against Yemen. Saree also stressed that anti-Israel operations will continue until the regime’s aggression stops and the siege of Gaza is lifted.

Israel Eurovision ban

Thousands of people in Finland have demanded the country's public broadcaster to ban Israel from this year’s Eurovision Song Contest over the regime’s crimes in Gaza. The Finnish broadcaster received two petitions from more than 10,000 people. The signatories demanded the broadcaster to pressure the European Broadcasting Union to ban Israel from participating in the contest. One of the petitions was signed by more than 500 music and cultural industry professionals. They promised to withdraw from the annual European song competition if Israel is not banned. The second petition was signed by ten-thousand people. The song contest is set to kick off in less than two months and the signatories say this will give the genocidal Israeli regime an opportunity to improve its image under the guise of music. Last year’s event was also marked with similar protests where thousands denounced Israel’s participation.
