US-Israeli genocide in Gaza

In Gaza, dozens more civilians have been killed in Israeli attacks. Nine of them, including children, were killed in the bombing of al-Shati refugee camp in the northern Gaza City. And eight were killed in central Gaza when a civilian car was shelled and a house was hit in airstrikes. Israeli warplane also struck an area near the city of Khan Yunis in the south, leaving nine dead and several others injured. Israeli attacks aren’t just targeting ordinary Palestinians. The UN refugee agency for Palestinians, UNRWA, says 207 of its aid workers have been killed in Gaza since the Israeli genocidal war began on October 7. The confirmed death toll in Gaza currently stands at over 40,100.

Gaza ceasefire talks

The Palestinian resistance movement, Hamas says the United States is trying to buy time in the ceasefire negotiations for Israel so that the regime can continue its genocidal war in Gaza. Senior Hamas official, Osama Hamdan stated that Hamas is ready to implement US President Joe Biden's proposal that the group has previously agreed to. He noted that the Israeli delegation has presented new conditions in recent round of negotiations in the Qatari capital Doha that undermine Biden’s original proposal. He emphasized that any agreement must include halting Israel’s aggression, withdrawing its forces, and reconstruction of Gaza. Hamdan said Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has responded to Hamas's acceptance of Biden’s plan with further massacres in the besieged Gaza Strip. He asserted that Netanyahu wants cover to prolong the Israeli onslaught in Gaza.

UK arming Israel

International human rights groups are taking legal action to stop UK arms sales to Israel. Lawyers submitted evidence of Israeli war crimes in Gaza, including Palestinians being tortured, left untreated in hospital and unable to escape constant bombardment. It comprises witness accounts from Palestinian and Western medical doctors who worked in Gaza, as well as ambulance drivers and aid workers. The UK has been continuing arms supplies to Israel after the regime launched its genocidal war on Gaza. In just eight months after October 7, the UK issued more than 100 arms export licenses to Israel. This has drawn international outrage. A British Foreign Office official has resigned in protest at the arms sales, warning of UK complicity in Israel’s war crimes.
