The Covid pandemic may have brought some changes to everyday life in Mexico but not to Christmas traditions. Like previous years, parents and children in the capital have turned out for what’s known as the final part of the festive season. That part sees children receive gifts from the three wise men also known as the three kings. The three wise men in fact are biblical legends said to have visited the baby Jesus after his birth. They are regular figures at Mexico’s New Year festivals. Children usually write letters to the three wise men to ask for what they like to have at the beginning of the New Year.
