A British Airways jet has caught fire at McCarran International Airport in the US city of Las Vegas forcing the evacuation of the passengers on board. The incident took place while the plane was preparing to take off. The Federal Aviation Administration said the fire broke out in the plane's left engine. The blaze was quickly extinguished and 14 people among 159 passengers and 13 crew suffered injuries. It was not immediately clear what had caused the fire.
