The government of Argentina has blasted the United States and Israel for what it calls their constant meddling in the Argentine domestic affairs. Buenos Aires has urged Washington and Tel Aviv to abide by the international law and respect its sovereignty.

In Argentina, a federal prosecutor has, in an unprecedented move, formally charged President Cristina Kirchner with trying to cover up the alleged involvement of Iranian officials in the 1994 bombing of a Jewish center.

Argentina has slammed the US for meddling in the country’s domestic affairs. This, as Washington plans to impose sanctions against top Argentine officials over the death of a federal prosecutor in Buenos Aires. The US has also offered to send an investigative commission to determine how Alberto Nisman died.

Argentina's President Cristina Kirchner has appeared in court to testify on the death of the AMIA bombing case prosecutor, who was found dead at his office last month. Before his death, Alberto Nisman had reportedly accused Kirchner of a cover-up attempt in the case. Kirchner suggested that some intelligence agents played a role in Nisman's death and, last week, she urged Congress to disband the agency.

Following the death of Argentina’s federal prosecutor, who had accused President Cristina Kirchner of cover-up in the AMIA case, the Jewish community is once again leveling accusations against Iran and urging Buenos Aires authorities to revoke a Memorandum of Understanding signed with Iran.
