Iran military power

The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps says the Iranian armed forces are in full readiness to give a decisive and devastating response to the exhausted and aggressive enemies of Iran. The IRGC made the remarks in a message issued to mark the Sacred Defense Week. It noted that Iranian forces have reached a high level of power by relying on indigenous knowledge and strategic innovations, which enable them to neutralize any threat at its source. The IRGC added that Iran showed its defensive power to the world through the crushing waves of True Promise operations in the second and third US-Israeli-imposed wars. It stressed that Iran's full strategic control over the Hormuz Strait, and exposing the weakness of the hegemonic and terrorist regime of the United States have turned into undeniable realities which have changed the world. The IRGC added that the US and the Israeli regime must understand the truth that sooner or later they must accept a region free of their evil and criminal presence, and they will have no escape from this fate.

Israel Gaza truce violations

The Palestinian resistance movement, Hamas, has strongly rejected the latest Israeli claims about its members violating the ceasefire agreement in Gaza. Hamas spokesman, Hazem Qassem, said the regime’s allegations about the movement’s violations were false and baseless, and were aimed at justifying Israeli violations and aggression. He reaffirmed Hamas' commitment to the ceasefire agreement, stressing that it is Israel that continues to violate the truce. His remarks came after earlier on Monday, Israeli warplanes launched a series of airstrikes on the Tuffah neighborhood of Gaza City. The regime said the new strikes were in response to the detonation of an explosive device targeting its forces in northern Gaza, claiming that Hamas members detonated the device. The death toll from the Israeli genocide in Gaza now exceeds 73,900, with nearly 175,000 others injured. Nearly 1,400 Palestinians have lost their lives in the regime’s attacks since the ceasefire took effect last October.

Trump approval falling

US President Donald Trump's approval rating has fallen to the lowest level of his political career at 32 percent, over his handling of the cost of living amid the unpopular war on Iran. A new poll conducted by Reuters and Ipsos shows that only 17 percent of respondents approve of Trump's handling of the cost of living, which is the top issue determining how Americans vote in the November midterm elections. The poll also showed that for the first time, Republicans who disapprove of Trump's handling of the cost of living outnumber those who give him a thumbs-up. Trump's approval is now lower than any figure recorded for his Democratic predecessor, Joe Biden. The poll also showed that dissatisfaction among Republicans with inflation is growing after Trump's war on Iran pushed gasoline and diesel prices sharply higher. Only 34 percent of poll respondents approved of the war on Iran, as it has cut the world off from a significant slice of West Asian oil and gas, threatening to stoke higher inflation in the US.
