Iran fully prepared to respond to new aggression
Nearly seven months into the US-Israeli war against Iran, the possibility of renewed major fighting is once again hanging over the region. Washington has warned of further military action which Tehran says it is fully prepared to respond to. Iran’s armed forces say they are on full alert, with the IRGC warning that US bases and intelligence centers across the region remain within Iran’s reach.
And there are signs that Washington is weighing the consequences of another escalation. President Trump reportedly considered striking Yemen's Ansarallah after repeated Saudi requests, but ultimately backed away, amid concerns that opening another front could threaten the Bab al-Mandab Strait and further destabilize the region.
