Israel 'destructive role'

The Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council Ali Larijani has met with Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said in the Omani capital. Larijani’s visit focuses on the latest regional developments. He's also met with Omani foreign minister, Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, discussing expansion of economic cooperation between Tehran and Muscat. The Iranian top security official has also met with Mohammed Abdulsalam, the spokesman of Yemen’s Ansarullah movement. On a social media post, Larijani warned Americans against the destructive role of Israel in negotiations with Iran. The top official will then pay a visit to Qatar. The Oman trip follows the Iranian foreign minister’s visit to the country last week for indirect negotiations with the United States.

Favoring talks 'on equal footing'

Iran’s foreign minister says Tehran is ready to advance nuclear talks with the US if it shows resolve in the negotiations. Araghchi made the comments in a meeting with Army Chief Major General Amir Hatami. The foreign minister said Iran’s military power has forced enemies to abandon military options against the country, and will continue to do so. He added that the new negotiation process is the result of year-long resistance by the Iranian people and armed forces. Hatami, in turn, said enemies only understand the language of force. He warned that the army is ready to counter any wrong move by the enemies with a response they have never seen.

'Israel objectives not achieved'

Hezbollah's secretary general says Israel, despite its military power and foreign backing, is weaker than ever and has failed to achieve any of its objectives. Speaking at a memorial for a late Hezbollah commander, Sheikh Naim Qassem praised former resistance leader Hassan Nasrallah as a great martyr of Lebanon. He credited the Lebanese resistance, alongside the people and the army, as the nation's legitimate source of pride and strength. He called on Lebanese officials to leverage the resistance's experiences to protect the country. The official also condemned global powers for attempting to legitimize the Israeli occupation.
