Gaza ceasefire agreement

A senior Hamas official has issued a stern warning to the Israeli prime minister over postponing the Gaza prisoner exchange deal. Abu Zuhri said Benjamin Netanyahu is tampering with the fate of Israeli captives. His remarks came after Netanyahu announced the postponement of the exchange deal, claiming that Hamas treated Israeli captives held in Gaza in an insulting manner. Rejecting his false claim, the Hamas official said Israeli captives are treated with respect. Abu Zuhri said an Israeli captive kissing the head of the resistance fighters was a practical response to Netanyahu’s lies. He said what the resistance does when handing over the captives is by no means offensive or insulting. The Hamas leader noted that the movement is not in a weak position and has not been defeated. He stressed that Israel cannot dictate its conditions on Hamas and, by delaying the exchange, Netanyahu is not only tampering with the agreement, but also with the fate of the captives.

Israel violating Gaza truce

The Israeli military continues its violations of the Gaza ceasefire agreement, claiming more civilian lives across the blockaded territory. In their latest violation, the regime’s forces opened fire on a group of civilians east of Gaza City, killing a young Palestinian and injuring several others. Israeli troops also targeted a car carrying security personnel responsible for guarding humanitarian aid in the southern city of Rafah. One passenger was killed, and four others were injured. According to Gaza health authorities, the bodies of 10 Palestinians were recovered from the rubble during the past day. The death toll from the US-Israeli genocide now stands at over 48,300, most of them women and children. More than 111,700 others have been injured. Medical teams are still struggling to reach those trapped under the rubble due to lack of necessary equipment for removing debris.

Israel West Bank aggression

Israel has intensified its aggression in the northern part of the West Bank, deploying tanks around the city of Jenin for the first time since 2002. According to Palestinian sources, the move marks a significant escalation in the regime’s ongoing military offensive in the area. The new development came after an Israeli far-right minister said the regime’s forces will remain in the West Bank refugee camps for a long time. Israel Katz added that the troops have been instructed to suspend UNRWA operations, and prevent residents from returning to their homes. The Israeli offensive on Jenin and its refugee camp has now entered its 34th day, leaving behind at least 27 fatalities, dozens of injuries, over 160 detainees, and widespread destruction. Hamas strongly condemned the deployment of Israeli tanks around Jenin as a sign of the regime’s intent to escalate its genocidal war against Palestinians. It called on all Palestinian factions to come together and form a united front against Israel’s horrific crimes.
