Hamas has celebrated the latest release of dozens of Palestinians from Israeli prisons and stated that the unfolding developments dispelled the false illusion of the regime's invincibility.

The Gaza-based Palestinian resistance movement said in a statement on Saturday that the resistance turned the Israeli prime minister’s crazy dream of "absolute victory" in the genocidal war on Gaza into a "shattered illusion."

Hamas said, “The great scenes of the handover process, and the messages of the Resistance about the “next day,” confirm that our people and their resistance hold the upper hand… bringing us closer to return, freedom and self-determination.”

It added that Palestinian people, through unwavering support for the Resistance and wholesale rejection of the Israeli occupation, reaffirm their denunciation of US President Donald Trump’s projects aimed at their displacement and occupation of their lands, and reiterate their steely determination to thwart them.

“The ‘absolute victory’ that the criminal Netanyahu and his army sought for 471 days have now turned into illusions shattered on the blessed soil of Gaza forever.

“We renew our salutations to our great Palestinian people, who, with their exemplary steadfastness, sent a clear message to the entire world that they… are committed to their resistance, and determined to stay on the path towards liberation and establishment of an independent state with al-Quds as its capital,” the statement read.

Hamas underscored that Palestinian resistance factions have adhered to human values and the provisions of international humanitarian law in their treatment of Israeli captives, and have made great efforts to save their lives despite the the Israeli military’s heavy bombings and attempts of war criminal Netanyahu to target and liquidate them.
