Hezbollah retaliation

The Hezbollah resistance movement continues to hit Israeli military sites and settlements with missiles and drones as the regime presses ahead with its deadly aggression against Lebanon. The movement said it struck the military industrial complexes of the "Rafael" company, north of Haifa, with rocket barrages. It added that Kiryat Motzkin and Kiryat Shmona settlements were also hit with rockets, including Falaq-2 missiles. Hezbollah said Israel’s “Ahihud" and "Kiryat Ata" settlements were hit with 50 rockets each, while the occupied city of Safad was struck with 80 rockets. Israel’s northern command headquarters at "Dado" base was targeted with missiles, while Hezbollah’s drones hit the important "Samson" base with precision. According to Lebanon’s health ministry, Israeli strikes killed 92 people in 24 hours. It said 40 people were killed in southern towns and villages, 48 in two eastern regions, and four others in a central region. As many as 153 people were also injured in the Israeli attacks.

Slamming Israeli violations

The prime minister of Iraq says Israel’s ongoing aggression against Lebanon attests to the regime’s blatant disregard for the United Nations' resolutions. Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani was addressing the UN General Assembly meeting. He said the regime cites UN resolution 1701 as the basis for its attack on Lebanon, while ignoring numerous resolutions issued by the Security Council against its occupationist policies. Al-Sudani said the Lebanese people are facing a brutal and premeditated aggression that seeks to drown the region in large-scale conflict. The Iraqi prime minister added that his country stands with Lebanon, its people and government, and will offer all possible assistance to help Lebanon overcome this aggression. He stressed that stopping Israel’s violations in occupied Palestine is everyone's responsibility, especially the Security Council, which has failed in its mission so far.

'Stop supporting Israel'

A senior Hamas official says the United States must stop supplying Israel with arms and diplomatic support if it is serious about ending the regime’s ongoing aggressions. Osama Hamdan said US President Joe Biden should stop sending weapons to Israel and stop protecting the regime's premier at the Security Council. He made the remarks in reference to a call from American officials for a ceasefire in Lebanon and Gaza. The Hamas official also touched on the Palestinian resistance. He said Israel is no longer able to decide the fate of battles, and its leaders seek to continue their aggressions until they achieve a political gain. He stressed that targeting the resistance’s military commanders would not weaken the movement. Hamdan said the resistance has lost hundreds of martyrs and leaders, but it is growing stronger, and such sacrifices further strengthen its standing. Hamdan also reaffirmed the resistance groups’ determination to fight Israel until the end of its aggression.
