Hezbollah retaliation

The Hezbollah resistance movement has fired a barrage of rockets at Israeli military positions in the occupied territories in retaliation for the regime's air strikes on southern Lebanon that killed many civilians. Many of the retaliatory rockets penetrated Israel's Iron Dome system. Hezbollah says its airstrikes hit Ramat David airbase east of Haifa and the site of Rafael arms company north of the city. Rafael is one of the three biggest Israeli arms manufacturing companies that produce systems for the Iron Dome and various kinds of cruise and guided missiles. Media reports said over 100 rockets were fired as sirens were heard in vast areas in northern occupied Palestine. The reports said the resistance has significantly expanded the range of missiles fired at Israel as they reached far-reaching Israeli targets. Around 300,000 settlers were forced to take shelter after the attacks. According to Israeli media, the regime has imposed a ban on publishing details of Hezbollah’s strikes. 

US-Israeli genocide in Gaza

More Palestinians are killed on day 352 of the US-Israeli Gaza genocide as the regime in Tel Aviv continues to pound the coastal territory with air and artillery strikes. In the latest attack, at least two Palestinians were killed in Israeli shelling of Khuza’a town, near Khan Yunis in southern Gaza. An Israeli attack on a group of civilians near the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza also left fatalities. Four Palestinians were also murdered in an Israeli strike on the al-Atatra neighborhood, near Gaza’s southern city of Rafah. The Israeli military has scaled up its strikes across the territory since Saturday. Only on Saturday, more than 20 Palestinians were killed in an Israeli attack, targeting a school sheltering displaced Gazans. The Israeli aggression on Gaza began last October. Since then, nearly 41,400 Palestinians have been killed and over 95,700 others injured. 

Pezeshkian slams UN inaction

The Iranian president has called on the United Nations to fulfill its responsibility to stop the killing of civilians across the world, including in the US-Israeli genocide in Gaza. Masoud Pezeshkian said if the UN properly carries out its duties, no country or entity will bomb another just because it has the military power and technology to do so. He was speaking prior to leaving Tehran for New York to address the 79th session of the UN General Assembly. Pezeshkian said he wants to be the voice of the Iranians and justice at the UN. The Iranian president added that he would hold meetings with his counterparts from other countries to help establish peace and security in the world.
