US-Israeli genocide in Gaza

The relentless Israeli onslaught on Gaza continues to claim more Palestinian lives as the regime is pressing ahead with air and artillery strikes across the blockaded territory. Several Palestinians are killed and injured in the latest Israeli bombing of homes in the al-Bureij refugee camp. The Israeli military also killed one child and injured several others in airstrikes on homes in Deir al-Balah, in central Gaza. Also, in Deir al-Balah, one person was killed after the Israeli military targeted a group of Palestinians there. An unknown number of people have also been killed in Israeli shelling of several areas across Gaza. The Israeli aggression which began in October has so far killed nearly 40,000 Palestinians and injured more than 92,000 others. 

'Stop Israel impunity'

The United States has approved a new multi-billion dollar military aid for Israel amid the regime’s relentless strikes against Palestinian civilians in the besieged Gaza Strip. The US defense department announced that Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, has approved the sale of a twenty-billion-dollar military package including F-15 fighter jets, tank cartridges and army vehicles. According to the Pentagon, part of these arms would be immediately available for delivery. The new US military aid comes despite claims by Washington that it is supporting a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip where Israel has been waging a genocidal war since early October. Fears are also increasing over a broader war in the region as Israel keeps near-daily cross-border strikes in Lebanon and also its attacks on Yemen.

Israeli crimes in Gaza

The latest Israeli incursion into the al-Aqsa mosque compound has drawn reactions from all the world countries, including some of Israel’s closest allies. Iran’s foreign ministry strongly condemned the storming of the mosque, saying the incursion is a clear example of Israeli intention to increase tensions and violence in the region. Foreign ministry spokesman, Nasser Kan’ani, said the move shows Israeli leaders are seeking to fan the flames of war. The United Nations censured the move, calling it unduly provocative. The world body said it is against any efforts to change the status quo within the holy sites. The United States also said any move that jeopardizes the status quo of al-Quds is unacceptable. The European Union slammed provocations by Israel's far-right Minister Itamar Ben Gvir. The French foreign ministry rejected the new provocation as unacceptable. Turkey, Egypt, Jordan, and Qatar also slammed the incident.
