Genocide in Gaza

Another manifestation of Israel’s genocide in the Gaza strip; more than 120 people have been killed and dozens more injured in a strike targeting a school in Gaza City. The attack took place at dawn during morning prayers in the Daraj neighborhood. A huge influx of casualties has been poured into Al-Ahli hospital following the strike. Among the casualties are women, children and the elderly. The Israeli military claims that it struck a Hamas command and control center embedded in the school. But the education facility had been accommodating the displaced Palestinians. The US-Israeli genocide in Gaza is now in its 309th day. The death toll stands at around 39,700, most of them women and kids.

'Need for international action against Israel'

Reactions are pouring in following yet another Israeli massacre at a school sheltering displaced Palestinians in the besieged Gaza Strip. The Palestinian resistance movement, Hamas said the attack is a horrific crime that constitutes a dangerous escalation in the series of crimes and massacres unprecedented in the history of wars. It added, the attack is the systematic targeting of the defenseless civilians. The Palestinian Islamic Jihad said the Israeli massacre amounts to 'war crimes'. It said the strike shows Israeli intention to cause the largest possible civilian casualties. Iran also strongly condemned the brutal attack of the child-killing regime against Palestinians in Gaza. Foreign ministry spokesman, Nasser Kan’ani said the barbaric attack is a clear example of Israel’s crime of genocide, which proves how the apartheid regime is in breach of all international norms and regulations.

Russia military operation

Russia has launched major military operations to repel Ukraine’s cross-border offensive. The Russian Army says it has deployed extra troops and military hardware to three border regions adjoining Ukraine to halt what it called Kiev’s biggest offensive since the beginning of the war. The military says the operations are ongoing in Belgorod, Bryansk and Kursk regions. Meanwhile, the RussiaN health ministry said fifty-five civilians were hospitalized; twelve of them in a serious condition while over 3,000 others evacuated. Russia and Ukraine have been at war for over two years resulting in thousands of casualties on both sides. Russia has repeatedly warned that the western military support for Ukraine is the biggest stumbling block to lasting peace between the two neighbors.
