Genocide of Gazans

Israeli occupation forces continue to massacre Palestinians in the besieged Gaza Strip. The regime committed three massacres in 24 hours, killing 40 Palestinians and injuring 75 others. Several Palestinians were killed and injured as a result of intense airstrikes on areas in the northern part of the Gaza Strip. Medical sources reported dozens of Palestinians were killed and wounded in the al-Daraj and al-Tuffah neighborhoods, as well as the old town during the bombing of those areas. Meantime, the Israeli army has announced 23 of its soldiers were injured in the past day. The death toll from the US-Israeli genocide in Gaza now stands at around 38,200, most of them women and children.

Gaza ceasefire push

Israel’s premier, who stands accused of leveraging the Gaza onslaught for his personal gains, has issued a list of "non-negotiable conditions for a truce pact", further obstructing ceasefire efforts. Benjamin Netanyahu says Israeli troops must be allowed to re-enter Gaza and fight until all objectives are achieved. His statement, ahead of next week’s fresh round of negotiations, has sparked anger both domestically and internationally. Opposition leader Yair Lapid has offered Netanyahu a "safety net" in case he accepts a deal, arguing that the premier’s political survival does not hinge upon the continuation of war. Meanwhile, the UK’s new Premier Keir Starmer has called for an urgent ceasefire and an immediate increase in humanitarian aid to Gaza. Also in France where the New People's Front alliance has won parliamentary elections, the coalition leader has vowed to push for the recognition of Palestine as a state. Netanyahu has been facing growing international support for Palestinians in the past months, even among his closest allies.

Iran's support for resistance

The Iranian President-elect has reaffirmed Tehran’s support for resistance against the "illegitimate Zionist entity". Masoud Pezeshkian made the announcement in a message to the Secretary General of Lebanon’s Hezbollah, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah. He stressed Iran will continue supporting the resistance front based on the fundamental policies of the Islamic Republic and the guidelines of the leader of the Islamic Revolution. The elect-president also expressed confidence that the resistance movements in the region will not allow the Israeli regime to continue its warmongering and criminal policies against the oppressed people of Palestine and other regional states.
