US-Israeli genocide in Gaza

More than eight months into the Israeli onslaught on the Gaza Strip, the regime continues to pound the blockaded territory with air and artillery strikes. In one of the latest attacks, Israeli fighter jets targeted a house in the Zarqa neighborhood, north of Gaza City, killing at least two Palestinians and injuring over a dozen. In Rafah, southern Gaza, an Israeli airstrike on a house in the Saudi neighborhood killed a number of Palestinians and injured several others. Meanwhile, Israeli artillery shelling is targeting areas in al-Zaytoun neighborhood, southeast of Gaza City. The attacks come as officials in Gaza are sounding the alarm over the deteriorating humanitarian situation across the territory. Gaza Information Office has described the situation in the northern Gaza Strip as tragic amid shortages of food and medicine. It says 98% of children in Gaza do not find safe drinking water.

Condemning E3 statement

Iran’s Foreign Ministry has condemned a joint statement by three European countries on the Islamic Republic’s nuclear program. The ministry says the statement is absurd and invalid, containing false claims. The condemnation comes after France, Germany and Britain accused Iran of undermining the 2015 nuclear deal, known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, JCPOA. They made the accusation following an IAEA report that Tehran is expanding its nuclear capacities. The Iranian foreign ministry said the bitter irony is that the countries that have adopted politicized and non-constructive approaches on the JCPOA, are accusing Iran of hollowing out the accord. The ministry also reminded that those countries themselves are responsible for the current status of the deal. Iran noted that its nuclear program has always been peaceful, adding that nuclear weapons have no place in the Islamic Republic’s defense and military doctrine.
