Tensions were high on the streets of Argentina on Tuesday as riot police were deployed against a protest march seeking to head to the president's residence of Olivos.
Protesters from trade unions and other social movements faced off with police. A tyre barricade was set alight and a water cannon vehicle on standby near demonstrators.
