Israel plans to repossess Gaza

More United Nations workers have been killed in Israel's ongoing onslaught on the Gaza Strip than in any other conflict in the organization's history. As their death toll rises above 136, Israel has announced it will no longer grant automatic visas to UN workers, accusing them of being "complicit partners" with Hamas.

This came after months of UN officials repeatedly calling for a ceasefire and the delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza.

Francesca Albanese, the United Nations special rapporteur on the occupied Palestinian territory, calls Israel's accusations baseless and part of a long pattern of smearing and obstructing UN's operations in Palestine.
