A Nation under Fire

The United States is a country too familiar with gun violence. Now, a simple mass shooting does not even draw the attention of the public. There has to be something special, like, a horrific school shooting killing dozens of kids or back to back shootings killing many. Then you got lots of people --- pundits, politicians --- talking about it, trying to figure out the root cause.

Some pin the blame on guns and some say it's the people using the guns. Then the discussion phases out with almost no action until the next mass shooting occurs. And that's the vicious cycle going on for many years.

This week we're gonna talk about an absurd increase in gun violence in America. The country has seen more than 600 mass shootings for 3 straight years.

Every time there is a high profile mass shooting or milestones like that, Americans are left asking themselves "What can be done to stop this?" Yet at the same time, they know that it is almost guaranteed that next year would be the same, if not worse. So, what's behind the repeated mass shootings in the United States really?
