In Italy's Serie A, AC Milan have experienced a miserable day after suffering a humiliating 5-nil defeat away at Atalanta.
The hosts took a 1-nil lead when Alekhandro Gomez finished his solo effort with a superb shot from close range just 10 minutes into the match. Atalanta showed no mercy after the break when Mario Pasalic tapped the ball home just around the hour mark.
Then, Josip Ilicic scored a brace in a 9-minute spell to turn it into a humiliation for the Rossoneri as their defense fell apart. However, there was more to come as Luis Muriel ran onto a through ball and added the 5th with 6 minutes remaining. It was the 4th time Milan have lost a Serie A match by a 5-goal margin and the first since 1998.
