Iran swamps India in straight sets at 2018 Asian Boys' U18 Volleyball Championship

The Iran men’s national under-18 volleyball team has blanked India at the quarterfinal round of the 2018 Asian Boys' U18 Volleyball Championship.

The Iranian team, which had stormed past Sri Lanka the previous day, brushed off the South Asian squad 3-0 (25-22, 25-13 and 25-21) in a match played at the indoor Shahid Poursharifi Arena in northwestern Iranian city of Tabriz on Wednesday evening.

The Iran men’s national under-18 volleyball team will play against Japan in a semifinal fixture on Thursday.  

The 2018 Asian Boys' U18 Volleyball Championship kicked off on June 29, and will run through July 6.
