Experts: High-intensity workouts help protect body against diabetes
Canadian researchers have found that high-intensity workouts could help protect the body from diabetes. The study showed improvements in the body managing blood sugar after intense exercises. The Queens University researchers randomly picked over 200 men and women and split them into four groups to do different training programs. The group doing the more extreme exercise had improvements in glucose measurements at the end of the study. The research adds to the growing list of benefits from more intense exercises. Such sessions are also more practical in fitting into busy schedules because they take less time.
