US-Israel Gaza genocide
The Gaza Strip witnesses more death and destruction, as Israeli forces continue to pound the besieged Palestinian territory with indiscriminate air and artillery strikes. One of the latest attacks killed a dozen people waiting for aid south of Khan Yunis, in southern Gaza. Another airstrike hit the al-Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza, killing three civilians and injuring eight others. Dozens of civilians were also injured after the regime's forces opened fire on people awaiting aid in the northwestern part of Gaza. Medical sources say nearly seventy Palestinians, including dozens of people waiting to receive aid, were killed on Sunday. The health ministry also reported seven new deaths from starvation and severe malnutrition, including two children. The new fatalities increase the number of victims of malnutrition to over 250, including 110 children. The death toll from the Israeli genocide in Gaza is nearing 61,950, with about 155,900 others injured.
Starvation in Gaza
Palestinian officials and international organizations have once again condemned Israel's "deliberate" starvation of the people in Gaza. They warned that the regime is slowly killing over two million innocent civilians, including more than a million children. Gaza’s Government Media Office said Israel continues to block the entry of food supplies into the territory, with children and the sick bearing the brunt of the regime's "systematic policy of engineered starvation." It added that over 100,000 children and patients, 40,000 of whom are infants younger than one year, are suffering from severe malnutrition. Similarly, Doctors without Borders warned about the rising number of Palestinians targeted at US-Israeli aid distribution sites. MSF said the number of Palestinians wounded by Israeli gunfire has tripled daily since these sites began operating. It described the so-called food distribution points as a “new horror,” as they have turned into "killing fields." MSF added that Gaza’s healthcare system is in a catastrophic condition and is barely functioning.
Mexico pro-Palestine rally
Thousands of Mexicans have staged a rally in the capital, Mexico City, in protest at Israel's ongoing genocidal war on Palestinians in Gaza. Protesters waved Palestinian flags and carried banners with anti-Israeli messages. They chanted slogans against the deliberate starvation of the Palestinian children in Gaza. The demonstrators also called for immediate international action to halt the massacre of Palestinian civilians, and ensure the flow of humanitarian aid into the besieged territory. The protesters demanded global sanctions on Israeli officials, and the suspension of their country's relations with the Tel Aviv regime. Additionally, they called for the international prosecution of the regime’s officials for their crimes in Gaza and elsewhere across the region.
