Tehran to host intl. conference on humanity, freedom centered on Leader's thoughts

An international conference on humanity and freedom with a focus on Ayatollah Khamenei's thoughts will be held in Tehran on December 3, 2025.


An international conference on humanity and freedom will be held in Tehran on December 3, 2025, according to a statement released by the organizers on Wednesday.

The event will explore the themes of humanity and freedom from an Islamic perspective, with a particular focus on the thoughts of Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.

According to the statement, the conference will highlight Ayatollah Khamenei’s role in defending people's rights and safeguarding individual and social freedoms.

Key topics on the agenda include: fundamental human rights and social freedoms from the Islamic viewpoint; women’s rights in Islam and the West; minority rights in Islam and the West; a comparative analysis of fundamental rights in Iran and other legal systems in the context of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights; freedom in Islam and the West: conceptual foundations, legal frameworks, and approaches; a critical examination of Western human rights; people’s rights and freedoms: a cross-national comparative study with a focus on Iran; and the constitutional recognition of people’s rights: a global comparative analysis with emphasis on Iran’s Constitution.

The conference is being organized by a coalition of Iranian institutions, universities, and academic centers.

Scholars and researchers have been invited to submit their papers in line with the conference themes. Submissions are welcome in Persian, English, Arabic, French, Spanish, or Turkish.

Abstracts should be submitted to the conference secretariat via the official website www.hoghoghmellat.ir or by email at icprlf@gmail.com.

The deadline for abstract submission is May 20, 2025, while full papers must be submitted by August 22, 2025.

Selected papers will be published in a peer-reviewed academic journal, the organizers announced.
