Yemen supports Gaza

Sirens have sounded in several areas of the occupied Palestinian territories including Tel Aviv following a fresh missile strike from Yemen that targeted Ben Gurion airport.  Yahya Saree also reported an attack against US warships led by aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman in the Red Sea. The Yemeni armed forces spokesperson emphasized that the American vessels were targeted 3 times in a span of 24 hours. Yahya Saree noted that the operations involved multiple cruise missiles and drones, showcasing Yemen's growing defensive capabilities. The spokesman reiterated that the attacks on US and Israeli targets will not come to an end until the aggression on Gaza stops and the siege of the territory is lifted. The operations come as the US military has been bombing Yemen intensively in recent days.

Israel's Gaza genocide

The Israeli regime continues with its deadly attacks on Gaza, killing and injuring more innocent Palestinians as they mark Eid al-Fitr. Over 40 people were killed in the latest attacks, including at least five children. An israeli airstrike on al-Mawasi refugee camp took the lives of three young girls, who were dressed in new clothes for what was supposed to be a day of celebration. The Palestinian Red Crescent says it has recovered the bodies of 14 paramedics killed in Israeli military fire on ambulances in the Gaza Strip one week ago. Israel has also launched a ground operation in Rafah days after it unilaterally ended the ceasefire agreement with Hamas and resumed attacks on Gaza in March 18. The renewed aggression has killed over 920 Palestinians, bringing the death toll since October 7, 2023, to around 50,300 with more than 114,000 others injured.

'No direct talks with US'

Iran’s president says direct talks with the United States over Tehran’s peaceful nuclear program are rejected by Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei in the response sent to a letter from President Donald Trump. Speaking at a cabinet meeting , Masoud Pezeshkian stressed that Iran does not avoid talks. He said, it is the US that has caused mistrust by breaching its promises. Pezeshkian added that Americans must prove that they can be trusted. On Friday, Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi also rejected direct talks with the US under pressure. In a phone call with his British counterpart, Araghchi stressed that negotiations under the shadow of maximum pressure and military threats are meaningless. Donald Trump has reinstated his maximum pressure policy against Iran by imposing more sanctions after returning to the Whit House.
