The Israeli military has carried out new raids in several areas across the West Bank, abducting and injuring people in the occupied Palestinian territory.

The WAFA news agency reported on Tuesday that Israeli forces detained eight Palestinians in early morning attacks in Nablus city and the nearby Balata and al-Ain refugee camps.

The occupation soldiers also stormed the cities of al-Bireh and Dura, as well as the towns of Birzeit, Beit Rima, Deir Ghasana, Beitunia, and Idhna, searching and ransacking Palestinians' homes, the report added.

WAFA also reported an Israeli raid in the town of Beit Fajjar, where the regime's troops opened fire on residents and wounded one Palestinian in the foot.

The Israeli military launched its offensive against the occupied West Bank on January 21, claiming that it was targeting the resistance fighters of the Jenin Battalion.

Israel has ramped up West Bank violence since October 7, 2023, when it launched a genocidal war on the Gaza Strip.

Since then, at least 937 Palestinians have been killed and nearly 7,000 others injured in the attacks by the Israeli forces and settlers across the West Bank.

The raids have so far uprooted at least 40,000 people, the largest displacement since the 1967 war that led to the Israeli occupation of the territory, according to the UN agency for Palestinian refugees (UNRWA).

On Monday, Doctors Without Borders, also known as MSF, denounced the "extremely precarious" situation of Palestinians displaced by the Israeli West Bank attacks.

Tens of thousands of people in the northern West Bank "are without proper shelter, essential services, and access to healthcare," the charity group said.
