The Israeli military has conducted new raids in several areas across the West Bank, pushing ahead with the "Gazafication" of the occupied Palestinian territory.

Reports said the Israeli attacks took place on Monday in the city of Jenin and its refugee camp, as well as al-Yamun town, all situated in the northern West Bank.

The occupation's military, the reports added, sent reinforcements, tanks, and heavy bulldozers to Jenin's Wadi Burqin and al-Hadaf neighborhoods.

Meanwhile, Israeli forces deliberately burned some homes in the Jenin refugee camp and turned residential buildings into military posts.

Also on Monday, Israeli rights group B'Tselem said the regime had brought the military tactics of its genocidal war in the Gaza Strip to the occupied West Bank.

"Along with the intensified oppression, in the northern West Bank Israel has begun replicating tactics and combat doctrines honed in its current offensive on Gaza. This includes increased use of airstrikes in civilian population centers, widespread and deliberate destruction of homes and civilian infrastructure, and displacement of civilians from areas designated by the military as combat zones," it said in a report.

"These actions suggest Israel is working toward 'Gazafication' of the West Bank, already implemented in the north and, ... expected to spread to other parts."

The rights group further warned that Israeli actions seem to be aimed at "permanently displacing some Palestinians and forcing others into living conditions that will eventually drive them to leave" their homeland.

B’Tselem’s executive director, Yuli Novak, said “Israel’s complete disregard for international law in the war in Gaza is now being replicated to the West Bank.”

“Its activity there, as yet on a smaller scale than in Gaza, is already causing indiscriminate and disproportionate killing and destruction,” she added.

The Israeli military launched its offensive against the occupied West Bank on January 21, claiming that it was targeting resistance fighters of the Jenin Battalion.

Israel has ramped up West Bank violence since October 7, 2023, when it launched its genocidal war on the Gaza Strip. Since then, the occupation forces have killed at least 930 Palestinians and injured nearly 7,000 others in the occupied West Bank.

The West Bank raids have so far uprooted at least 40,000 people, the largest displacement since the 1967 war that led to the Israeli occupation of the territory, according to the UN agency for Palestinian refugees (UNRWA).
