US-Israeli Gaza genocide
The Israeli military continues its deadly and relentless strikes across the Gaza Strip, killing and injuring more defenseless civilians. The regime has also ordered a ground offensive against the territory, further worsening its already dire humanitarian situation. An Israeli airstrike targeted a group of mourners in the northern city of Beit Lahia, killing at least 25 people and injuring dozens. Another strike on Gaza City’s al-Zeitoun neighborhood killed several Palestinians, mostly children. Earlier, an Israeli drone strike hit a tent west of the southern city of Khan Yunis, killing four civilians, including a child. Five more civilians died in an attack on a vehicle north of Rafah, in southern Gaza. Meanwhile, a UN employee was killed, and five others were critically injured in the Israeli bombing of a UN headquarters in Deir al-Balah, central Gaza. So far, scores of Palestinians have been killed in a matter of 24 hours. Israel unilaterally ended the Gaza ceasefire agreement and resumed its aggression on Tuesday, carrying out a wave of bloody airstrikes that killed over 430 civilians, including more than 100 children, and injured nearly 700 others.
Israel violating Gaza ceasefire
Hamas has condemned Israel’s announcement of renewed ground operations against the Gaza Strip, stressing that the resistance is ready to respond to the regime’s move. A senior Hamas official, Sami Abu Zuhri, warned that the regime has transferred military vehicles to the Netzarim axis, cutting off the northern Gaza Strip from its southern part. He added that the move will completely destroy the ceasefire agreement that entered into force in January. Abu Zuhri noted that the mediators’ failure to pressure Israel to start negotiations on the second phase of the truce threatens the entire agreement. He urged the mediators to assume their responsibilities before the agreement collapses entirely. Abu Zuhri emphasized that the resistance will not release Israeli captives unless the regime ends the aggression, completely withdraws from Gaza, and lifts the territory’s blockade. His remarks came after, earlier on Wednesday, Israel announced the renewal of ground operations in Gaza, issuing a “final warning” to its people to return captives and remove Hamas from power.
West Bank demolitions
The Hamas resistance movement has strongly condemned Israel’s plan to demolish nearly a hundred Palestinian homes in the occupied West Bank city of Jenin. It said the move is a new crime and part of the regime’s genocidal war on Palestinians. Hamas said Israel has destroyed more than five-hundred Palestinian homes in Jenin in the past two months, and displaced over 21,000 of its residents. It described the widespread demolition plan as a barbaric act and a continuation of the regime's aggression. The movement also slammed the inaction of the international community, calling on countries around the globe to stand firm in the face of such crimes. The reaction came as Israel continues its widespread displacement of Palestinians across the occupied territory. That includes the al-Ain refugee camp, where more than 80 families have been displaced by the regime's forces in the past days. Israeli troops have stormed Palestinians’ homes, conducted searches, checked their IDs and forced them to leave at gunpoint before turning the houses into military outposts.
