India bans two more political groups in Kashmir

The Indian government has banned two more religious-political organizations in Kashmir accusing them of promoting secessionism in the region. The move has evoked widespread condemnations with Kashmir’s religious and political parties terming it “unjust”. However, New Delhi maintains that its actions are aimed solely at countering security threats.
