Israeli forces have blocked roads and tightened restrictions on movement in the occupied West Bank, while setting Palestinian homes on fire in Tulkarm amid an abduction campaign.
The regime forces closed two side roads in Nablus on Friday, including the road connecting the al-Masaken al-Sha'biya neighborhood with the town of Asira al-Shamaliya, and a side road near the town of Zawata.
The regime forces have sealed off several main and side roads in the West Bank in the past weeks, increasing restrictions on Palestinians’ movement in the occupied territories.
Also on Friday, the regime troops intensified their restrictions at checkpoints surrounding the city of Nablus, conducting thorough inspections of vehicles and checking the ID cards of Palestinians.
They also closed the Sarra checkpoint, West of Nablus, preventing people from crossing.
Israeli forces have recently erected a total of 10 checkpoints around Nablus, set up over 38 metal gates, and blocked access to about 47 areas using dirt mounds.
According to local sources, the Israeli military also stormed Nablus City on Friday.
During the attack, the forces arrested a young Palestinian man, identified as Nehad al-Aghbar, during a raid on his home.
In al-Khalil (Hebron), Israeli forces abducted six Palestinians, including a woman, during raids on several towns and neighborhoods on Friday.
They also continued to close the entrances to towns, refugee camps, and the city of al-Khalil, and intensified their military measures in the Old City of al-Khalil and the vicinity of the Ibrahimi Mosque.
'Crushing calamity’
Meanwhile, the Israeli aggression in the city of Tulkarm and its refugee camps continues, with the regime forces destroying buildings and torching homes in Nur Shams camp.
Governor of Tulkarm Abdullah Kmail described the ongoing Israeli military aggression on the city and its refugee camps as a "crushing calamity".
Kmail said the unprecedented Israeli invasion, which has entered the second consecutive month, was driven by the regime’s plot to annex the occupied West Bank.
"What is taking place is a continuation of the crime committed by the occupation in the Gaza Strip. There has been massive displacement of the inhabitants of the Tulkarm and Nur Shams refugee camps, as approximately 85% of them have already been forcibly displaced due to this aggression,” Kmail noted.
The aggression has so far killed 13 Palestinians, including a child and two women, and forced the displacement of nearly 12,000 Palestinians from Tulkarm refugee camp and over 5,000 from Nour Shams camp.
Since a ceasefire in Gaza was announced last month, Israel has intensified its attacks on various parts of the occupied West Bank.
The deal between Israel and Hamas was reached after 15 months of the genocidal war on Gaza, which claimed the lives of at least 48,365 Palestinians, mostly women and children.
The regime approved the ceasefire after falling short of realizing any of its wartime objectives, including freeing the captives, “eliminating” the Gazan resistance, and causing forced displacement of Gaza’s entire population to neighboring countries.
