Iranian U-27 skiers scoop one gold, three bronze medals in China’s Alpine

Iranian athletes have put up a stunning performance in the Asian Alpine Ski Championships in China by notching up four medals, including one gold, at the international tournament.

The Under-27 Iranian team managed to bag two medals on the second and final day of the completions in the slalom skiing on Friday.

In the women's slalom category, Zahra Alizadeh succeeded in winning a gold medal and claimed the championship title after outperforming all her rivals.

Sarina Ahmadpour, another female representative of Iran, finished in fifth place.

In the men's section, Mohammad Saveh Shamsaki pocketed a bronze medal by ranking third in the slalom event. Amirali Alizadeh also finished in sixth place.

The U-27 Iranian skiers also scooped two valuable bronze medals in the giant slalom category on Thursday, with their medal haul totaling one gold and three bronzes in the international competitions.

The Asian Alpine Ski Championships are being held at the Yabuli Ski Resort as part of the 2025 Asian Winter Games in Harbin, China.
