Resistant prisoners released

Today Palestinian mothers, fathers, wives, children and siblings welcome and rejoice with 110 of their sons, daughters, fathers, brothers, and sisters freed from Israeli Occupation Custody. Over three dozen of them serving life terms, nearly 50 of them various prison sentences, and 30 of them children. Yes children.

The occupation received three Israeli captives back from Gaza resistance groups. The joy and sense of triumph experienced by the Palestinians following the third prisoner swap deal during the Gaza ceasefire represent one aspect of the story, while the conditions faced by these released Palestinians, along with numerous others in the Occupied West Bank and the besieged Gaza Strip, are the central themes of this Spotlight.
