COP29: Iran calls on international community to lift sanctions
World leaders' speeches continued at COP29 in Baku, Azerbaijan on Wednesday, with Iran calling on the international community to lift sanctions.
"We hope that (the) international community, free from political issues, will stand together, exchange knowledge, transfer technology and facilitate accessing financial resources without discrimination," Iran's vice president, Shina Ansari told leaders gathered at the UN climate summit.
"Developing states shall not be deprived of their right to development because of what others have done," she continued.
