President Masoud Pezeshkian of Iran says the world should know that the blood of Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah and his companions will continue to boil and turn into a bulwark against tyranny and oppression.
The Iranian president paid a visit to Hezbollah's office in Tehran on Monday and signed a memorial notebook in honor of Nasrallah, the secretary-general of Hezbollah, who was martyred during the psychopathic Israeli airstrikes on Beirut on September 27 using US-provided munitions.
“The US and supporters of the Zionist regime showed the world how human rights, human dignity and international regulations are violated,” Pezeshkian wrote.
He said terrorists and criminals claim to defend human rights but, ironically, those who are fighting oppression and supporting the oppressed are called “terrorists”.
The Iranian president said the Hezbollah chief spent his life on the path toward the liberation of the Palestinian people and fighting the Zionists.
The Palestinian and Lebanese people should know that Iran will continue to stand with them, he said.
Addressing a cabinet session on Sunday, Pezeshkian said it is imperative for Tehran to give a “decisive” response to the criminal Israeli regime.
Nasrallah’s assassination came as part of the Israeli regime’s escalation against Hezbollah. Hundreds of people have been killed across Lebanon since last Monday.
Israel has been targeting Lebanon since October 2023, when it launched its genocidal campaign in the Gaza Strip.
Hezbollah has been responding to the aggression with numerous retaliatory operations, including one with a hypersonic ballistic missile, targeting the occupied Palestinian territories.
The Lebanese resistance movement has vowed to keep up its operations against Israel as long as the Israeli regime continues its campaign in Gaza, which has so far killed more than 41,600 Palestinians, mostly women and children.
