Iran's Basij chief warns against a massive propaganda war against the country by the US and allies.

Hossein Ta’eb delivers a speech at the closing ceremony of the 11th Abu Dhar Festival in Tehran on September 30, 2026.

The United States and its allies have been capitalizing heavily on cognitive war against the Islamic Republic amid efforts to sell their failed military aggression against Iran as a victory, says the head of Iran’s Basij paramilitary force.

Hossein Ta’eb said in a speech on Wednesday that Washington and its allies have been playing mind games with global public opinion about the military aggression against Iran.

Ta’eb called on pro-Iran media personalities and journalists to narrate the crimes committed by the United States and Israel during the war of aggression against Iran, including indiscriminate attacks on civilians.

“Wars end, but the narrative of war remains; and so does the question of which media outlet portrayed the dimensions of the war accurately so that the enemy cannot present the demon as the angel.”

The Iranian official said what the United States and the Israeli regime have presented to the world about their achievements in the aggression against Iran is completely false.

They have clearly violated their own standards on human rights, Ta’eb said.

He said the attack on the first day of the aggression, February 28, on a school in southern Iran that killed more than 160 children must be properly clarified for global public opinion.

The Basij chief said such crimes have created significant challenges for the US government, adding that students at major US universities are asking questions about human rights and the bombing of schools in Iran.

"If we can, through good headlines, reports, and images, portray the crimes of the Americans and Israelis to the freedom-loving people of the world and shape their perception, we will accelerate the collapse of the US," he said.
