Iraq’s Islamic Resistance has announced striking the city of Haifa in the northern part of the occupied territories with an advanced cruise missile in a fresh pro-Palestinian operation.
The umbrella group of anti-terror fighters made the announcement on Saturday.
It specified the projectile used in the operation as an “al-Aqrab” missile.
The coalition said it had carried out the attack “in continuation of our path of resisting the occupation, in support of our people in Palestine, and in response to the massacres committed by the usurping entity against Palestinian civilians, including children, women, and the elderly.”
The resistance has staged countless such retaliatory strikes against targets spread out across the occupied territories since last October, when the Israeli regime began waging a genocidal war against the Gaza Strip.
At least 37,296 Palestinians have been killed, most of them women and children, and another 85,197 individuals sustained injuries as a result of the war so far. More than 1.7 million people have been internally displaced during the brutal Israeli military onslaught as well.
The Islamic Resistance pledged to continue “striking the enemy's strongholds.”
Earlier, a major component of the Iraqi coalition warned Israeli settlers on the northern side of the occupied territories to immediately evacuate the region or face a full-scale attack in coordination with the Yemeni Armed Forces in response to the war.
In a video clip published online, Harakat Hezbollah al-Nujaba cited its Secretary-General Sheikh Akram al-Kaabi as saying, “We can reach out to more strategic and critical facilities [across the Israeli-occupied territories]. The operations will expand, and will be more innovative, qualitative, and rapid.”
The Yemeni forces have likewise been staging numerous similar retaliatory strikes, including two major operations in collaboration with the Iraqi fighters.
