Islamic Resistance in Iraq hits ‘vital target’ in Haifa with drones
The Islamic Resistance in Iraq says it has hit an Israeli “vital target” in the port city of Haifa in the occupied Palestinian territories with drones.
The Iraqi umbrella group for the country’s anti-terror movements made the announcement in a statement on Monday.
“The fighters of the Islamic Resistance in Iraq, on Monday at dawn 6/3/2024, hit a vital target in Haifa in our occupied lands using drones,” the statement said.
The Iraqi resistance noted that the new anti-Israeli operation came “in support of our people in Gaza and in response to the massacres committed by the usurping entity against Palestinian civilians, including children, women, and the elderly.”
It also affirmed that the resistance fighters will continue to strike the enemy's strongholds.
The new operation came hours after the Iraqi resistance conducted drone strikes against the oil refinery and a vital target in the port city of Haifa.
Earlier on Sunday, the Islamic Resistance in Iraq said it had carried out a drone strike on an Israeli target at the port of Eilat in the occupied Palestinian territories, which is also known as Umm Al-Rashrash.
The group has been launching attacks on Israeli targets ever since the occupying regime started a genocidal war on the Gaza Strip early last October.
Israel waged the atrocious onslaught against Gaza, targeting hospitals, residences, and houses of worship after Palestinian resistance movements launched a surprise attack, dubbed Operation al-Aqsa Storm, against the usurping regime on October 7.
According to Palestinian Health Ministry in Gaza, the regime’s genocide has so far claimed the lives of 36,439 civilians, mostly women and children, while leaving 82,627 others injured.
