The environmental crisis facing the planet is not just a natural climate cycle. In large part it is the work of the human species and its social and economic organization, in which for many centuries the variables of economic growth and financial profit have prevailed.
The land, the subsoil, and even the water have been privatized. Overcoming global warming mainly involves changing these variables, for the benefit of all species. The supposed protection of the environment has also become a new business, which increases the dangers to life.
Eduardo Artés talks about this in this edition of Negro y Blanco with Cristóbal Rodriguez, from Modatima (Movement for Access to Water, Land and Environmental Protection).
