Russia-Ukraine war

The Spotlight program was about G7 decision to push for a full embargo on Russia over the Ukraine war. The guests of this edition of the Spotlight were Don de Bar, an activist and commentator from Ossining, New York, and Glenn Diesen, a professor of political science at the University of Southeastern Norway, from the Norwegian capital Oslo.

DonDebar said NATO’s eastward expansion is to blame for the Ukraine conflict because the Soviets withdrew from the areas they had under their control during the cold war but the West, especially the US kept chipping away at more territory up until the time when Russia’s patience wore thin and attacked Ukraine. Diesen maintained that West is using Ukraine as a proxy to fight against Russia and does not care if they get killed in their thousands.
