On the third day of public mourning in the southern Iranian city of Shiraz following a terrorist attack on the holy shrine of Shah Cheragh, a huge crowd of people from different walks of life took part in the funeral procession of the victims.
At least 15 people were confirmed dead in the terrorist attack on Wednesday, among them women and children.
Tens of thousands of mourners took part in the event. Holding pictures of the victims and chanting slogans, the participants condemned terrorism and those behind the vicious act of terror in Shiraz.
The mourners also chanted slogans against the supporters of the Daesh terrorist group, particularly the United States and Israel.
The coffins of the martyrs were then flown to the northeastern city of Mashhad, which houses the mausoleum of the eighth Shia Imam, Imam Reza, where thousands of mourners bid farewell to the victims.
Shedding the blood of innocent civilians in a holy religious shrine is a heinous crime denounced by people globally. The presence of a huge crowd of people at the funeral of shiraz terror attack martyrs shows the unity of the Iranian nation in the face of enemies who seek to undermine the security of the country.
