US deadly drone strike

A report says the CIA had warned about civilian presence just before the missile fired by a US military drone hit the Afghan capital, last month. According to informed sources, the CIA’s warning was heard 29 seconds before the missile struck its target, killing 10 civilians, including 7 children. Families of the victims are now demanding a face-to-face apology and compensation for the lives of their loved ones. A top American general has already admitted that the August 29 attack didn’t kill any terrorists. The US had earlier claimed the missile fired from its drone hit a position of Daesh terrorists. Washington then said that the attack was in retaliation for bombing of the Kabul airport as foreign nationals were being evacuated.

Lawsuit against US

New details have emerged on Israel’s assassination of Iranian nuclear scientist, Mohsen Fakhrizadeh. US media say Israel’s spying agency, Mossad, had been monitoring and wanted to kill Iran’s top nuclear scientist for years. The report also points to the significant role former US president Donald Trump played in facilitating the attack. Israel reportedly used an A.I-assisted sniper machine-gun placed on the way of Fakhrizadeh’s convoy to assassinate him. Israel had tried to kill him in 2009 but the mission had failed and been called off after the Iranian intelligence discovered the plot. Meanwhile, families of five Iranian nuclear scientists assassinated over the past decade have filed a lawsuit against the US government.

Russia elections

Russians are heading to the polls to cast their ballots on the final day of a three-day parliamentary election, which the ruling party of President Vladimir Putin is expected to win. The United Russia Party, which currently holds nearly a third of parliamentary seats, saw a slump in its popularity. However, it still remains more popular than its rivals, the Communist Party and the nationalist LDPR party. The election comes amid calls for tactical voting by the outlawed party of opposition figure Alexei Navalny to overthrow the United Russia Party’s parliamentary majority.
