A shooting in the US state of Louisiana has left seven people injured and one woman in critical condition after she was shot in the face.
The woman was rushed to the hospital in critical condition after the shooting in New Orleans on Sunday.
"All victims transported to local hospitals, one of which via EMS. That victim, identified as a female, is currently listed in critical condition with a gunshot wound to the face," the New Orleans Police Department said, without giving more details.
Earlier this month, US police charged a man for shooting a woman in the face in Salisbury, North Carolina, last year.
The remaining victims arrived via private conveyance to local hospitals and are listed either in stable condition or as having received graze wounds.

Detectives had managed to obtain warrants to arrest Derrick Dashawn Brown, 26, for the incident which took place on March 3, 2020.
The latest shooting is the fifth mass shooting to rock New Orleans this year. So far, two people have been killed and 25 others injured in the shootings.
The shooting took place near Interstate 10 in the eastern half of New Orleans.
Louisiana police have reported 15 mass shootings in the state this year, with nine people killed and 75 injured.
