Military units showcased at Republic Day parade in New Delhi
A large-scale military and civilian parade was held in New Delhi on Sunday to mark India's 71st Republic Day.
Military vehicles and soldiers paraded down Rajpath, a ceremonial boulevard in New Delhi, while helicopters flew overhead and dancers performed on floats. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is seen welcoming President of Brazil Jair Bolsonaro at the start of the ceremony.
Republic Day in India is a national holiday held to mark the date that the country's constitution came into force on January 26, 1950, turning the country into a new republic.
