Dozens of Iraqi officials visited the Iranian embassy in Baghdad on Tuesday to offer their condolences over the assassination of Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani and his companions in a show of solidarity and unity between the two nations.

They condemned the US airstrike, which violated Iraqi sovereignty, and called for the strengthening of the resistance front in the region to confront US hegemony.

High-ranking Iraqi officials and members of the resistance factions also vowed to respond to what they described as US state terrorism targeting their nation and sovereignty.

This much-anticipated revenge, according to Iraqi resistance factions will contribute to the full expulsion of US forces in the Middle East, once and for all.

Despite the US plan to cause havoc and division between the two nations through the killing of General Soleimani and Al-Mohandis, today's images coming out of the Iranian embassy have once again reunited Baghdad and Tehran, in a clear message that will find its echoes in Washington.
