Endless sufferings of Myanmar's Muslims
The plight of Myanmar's Rohingya people shows no sign of ending with the International Community and the United Nations lacking the needed will to force the country's government to stop the persecution of the Muslim minority. Latest revelations by media and journalists have shed more light on the dark side the Myanmar society whose government is led by a self-styled rights defender, Aung San Suu Kyi. While some believe that what's going on in Myanmar amounts to crime against humanity, the world bodies will confirm this only if it is substantiated by damning evidence. But what is clear is that the situation in Myanmar has worsened in recent years.

Turkey marks its first coup anniversary
It's been one year since the July 15 coup attempt in Turkey which aimed to topple the government and unseat President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.  Soldiers and tanks took to the streets and a number of explosions shook Ankara and Istanbul. At least 265 people were killed. Millions of Turkish citizens set aside their differences to confront the plotters. However, the coup marked a turning point in the country’s democracy. Some experts believe that Ankara has become more authoritarian since then.
