Iran’s Foreign Ministry has summoned the Polish chargé d'affaires to Tehran to protest Warsaw’s "biased and baseless" remarks regarding military cooperation between Iran and Russia in the Ukraine war.
On Monday, head of Poland’s representative office in Tehran, Marcin Wilczek, was summoned by Mahmoud Heidari, Assistant to the Iranian Foreign Minister and Director General of Mediterranean and Eastern European Affairs at Iran’s Foreign Ministry.
During the meeting, Heidari conveyed Iran’s formal protest to the Polish diplomat.
Wilczek said he would urgently relay Iran's protest to his country.
On February 20, Polish Foreign Minister Radek Sikorski claimed the partnership between Russia and Iran in making and launching drones impacts Europe and the whole world.
This comes after wreckage of a military drone, claimed to be Iranian, was transported to the United States and displayed at the 2025 Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC).
According to the Wall Street Journal, the Polish foreign minister helped deliver the drone, brought down by Ukrainian forces, to the US at the request of the non-profit group United Against Nuclear Iran (UANI).
